38 CANopen Slave M1 is designed specially for mobile machines operating in the most diffi cult and demanding conditions. It has the same proven water proof and compact construction as all Epec control units to endure even the toughest environmental conditions in mines, dusty construction sites, and cold and wet conditions.
With wide operating voltage range, robust aluminium housing, and protection class IP67 (dust and water proof) together with high endurance against shock and vibrations, the Epec slave unit is a superior solution for your mobile machines and vehicles to be used for example as an expansion unit for control systems. The slave unit is connected to the master control unit via a CAN bus. The trick is that you donīt have to do any programming work for the slave unit, since they are controlled by master units. Therefore, they are easy blocks for creating embedded control systems or to expand the I/Os of an active control unit. The I/O pins of the Epec slave unit are controlled by the master unitsī commands and operations.

The Epec CANopen slave unit is the smallest control unit for embedded control systems available, yet offers a considerable amount (20 pc.) of controllable I/Os.
