Epec Oy has entered a global co-operation agreement
Epec Oy and Sandvik Mining and Construction strengthened cooperation through the control systems business. Epec Oy entered a global co-operation agreement with Sandvik Mining and Construction in October, 2008. This agreement strengthens Epec´s position as a supplier of control system products to Sandvik. The global co-operation agreement covers all the business units of Sandvik Mining and Construction.

Sandvik Mining & Construction has factories all over the world and many of them have also product development departments. While the co-operation between Epec and Sandvik has already become globalized, common rules now ease the further supply and initialization of Epec´s products in Sandvik´s business units all over the world.

Sandvik Mining and Construction is a business area within the Sandvik Group, and a world-leading provider of equipment and solutions for mineral exploration, underground mining, surface mining and bulk materials handling and specific areas of the construction industry. Annual sales 2007 amounted to about SEK 33,100 M, with approximately 15,200 employees.

- Sandvik Mining and Construction’s global supplier selection is made on the basis of our business needs. Entering into this contract is a natural result of several years cooperation with Epec, and it will further strengthen our long term relationship and improve the opportunities in keeping it on a good level also in the future, says Timo Kaskinen, global sourcing manager of Sandvik Mining & Construction.
